I had promised myself, I will not cry
The day you leave me and go, I will try
To be calm, strong and versify.
I will write a thanking note and signify,
Life has been very kind and wry.
My feelings, I needed to sanctify.
A promise to myself I stand by.
There’s nothing more to rectify,
