Farewell to vacation (short poem)

My summer vacation is over and I have to get back to work from 17th. These days brought a new change, new challenges in my life. May be I am going to live more now. I wrote a farewell poetry to my dearest summer vacation thanking it for what it brought me. But of course, who would not love to have more of it?

Here it goes:

—–

The 23 days of togetherness,

I’ll cherish.

Your care, your closeness,

I’ll cherish.

Feelings for you,

I’ll cherish.

You come once in a year

To repair my heart of wear and tear.

The gap again would be hard to bear,

But those precious moments…

I’ll cherish.

You promise to return everytime you leave.

But please understand,

You are leaving me to grieve!

However what you taught me,

I’ll cherish.
