That Which Grows (short read)

Love

It grows.

The fragrance of love will never fade away. You let it remain within you as an emotion, it will stay. If you don’t, it will disappear. You will either hate or love. If you say you have neither of the emotions, it will be completely wrong. It is up to you whether you want to let it be or let it die. If the emotion of love dies, nothing will persist. This universe was not built with hate. A thing like hate must not even exist. 

Everyone wants to have a good life, rather a great life. Greatness, goodness are all positive vibrations or say constructive. Hatred is not constructive. When you become determined to create something, you put all your effort in it to give it a shape.

What is this? Creation with hate? No. It can’t be. It is your positive vibrations which help you create something. It is because you love creation, you could create.

Love. No conditions attached. Pure. Gentle. Beautiful. Ever flowing.

And a natural tendency of the living beings. It grows. It cannot be destroyed. It may remain hidden for sometime, but it never dies, never fades. It is eternal. It persists. It is because of love that we wish to have a better life.

 

खरचै न खूटै, चोर न लूटै।

दिन दिन बढ़त सवायो।।

(It does not get spent, it does not get robbed.

My Laptop has Grown-up

The joy of having your first laptop cannot be described in words. Back then, I was pursuing my B.Ed. course. My brother and I were so happy when we bought it, got the set-up done; sat there with our cousin’s ex-student who sold it to us and managed the settings thereafter. We were its proud owners.

It’s been long….my laptop has ‘grown-up’!!

‘Sa’ to ‘Ja’

I had begun teaching while I was still a student. I wanted to become independent and bear my own expenses. I was just 19 and my student was in KG 2. He had a problem making phonic sound ‘ja’ or ज. His surname, that was ‘Jaiswal’, he pronounced it ‘Saiswal’. His ‘Jug’ sounded ‘Sug’ and ‘Joker’ sounded ‘Soker’. The parents had accepted that it was a defect and something which was not within their capabilities to help the child overcome.

When I told them that it was no defect and could be improved with rigorous practice, they could not believe it.

And there I was, fully aware, capable and determined to change his ‘Sa’ to ‘Ja’.

I demonstrated the child how it worked, he was fully cooperative. He was a Kindergartener and they were taught phonetic sounds at school to pronounce alphabets and words. Above all, he was the first student of mine and not just belonged to the school where he was studying.

It took me around one year to make him practice and get him to speak Jaiswal. Once, I visited his class teacher along with his mother during a PTM. His teacher was full of appreciation for him.

A one of its kind challenge for me that I took up with full confidence! It was no less than a Teaching Aptitude Test for me at 19.

It apparently turned out to be an initial achievement!
