Only Freedom It Wants (short read)

✊✊✊✊✊

What I have experienced…

————————————
The least you expect from something/someone, the better it/he/she performs—after devoting your best in it/him/her.
For example, my writings that I upload on my blog. The least I expect from a work, the more number of ‘likes’ it has got me in return.

Now, recall some instances related to things and people, when the same has happened with you.

When you let it, I think it works with its own energy…free-will I call it.

Not just people or animals/plants love freedom, things love freedom as well.

Remember, when you apply your energy, you apply force. You don’t let anything bud in its natural place, with its natural energy. You kind of suppress it.

Can growth be achieved forcefully?
When you add more than required artificial fertilisers to plants, what happens?

You thought it right!!

It is better to keep it/him/her in your heart, in your emotions, in your prayers.

Pray/Wish for the well-being. Be happy to send a happy, positive energy.

“Let it go and let it grow.”

Maharaj Shivaji’s Guerilla Tactics (short read)

For those who would hear this name for the first time, please do take some time to read about one of India’s greatest and smartest kings, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Though he lived for around 50 years, his strength and skills are unique and provide great lessons for every person on earth.

A patriot who kept enemy on their toes and alert till the time he lived. He was a people’s leader who is still loved by all aware Indians.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai 🙏🏻

Read on…

————————–

Veer Shivaji’s enemies had unlimited troops, artillery and ammunition as compared to equipment owned by his soldiers. It was difficult for him to fight the enemy but he cleverly used local terrain for warfare.

The dense forests of Maharashtra (India) having deep valleys, ghats and hills obstructed the steady movement of the enemy carrying heavy artillery.

In contrast to this, each Maratha soldier carried light arms, such as a shield, a sword and a spear. So, the soldiers climbed the hills with more speed.

Maratha soldiers were popular for their strength and Shivaji took advantage of these physical qualities effectively. Thus, it proves that Shivaji was a greatest military genius.
Shivaji attacked the enemy troops by isolating and demolishing them unit by unit without leaving them time to get prepared.

Shivaji’s troops always hid quickly after an attack.
Thus, he polished his and his troops’ guerilla warfare skills and destroyed the enemy.

The beginning of a career

👩‍🏫

I would have drowned after dropping out of my college.

But do you know who held my hands and saved me?

…Not an organisation, not a company, not a successful person, but some children

…Some children who wanted to study, the ones who accepted me wholeheartedly to train them!

Active Listening (Reinforcement)

Hi,

I have added ‘reinforcement’ purposely in the heading.

===============================

Active Listening

Listening requires concentration so that your brain processes meaning from words and sentences. But hearing is simply the act of perceiving sound by the ear. It does not involve concentration.  You hear a random sound from anywhere but you listen to music, speech etc.

Importance of listening:

  • Listening to others is an elegant art.
  • Good listening reflects courtesy and good manners.
  • Listening can improve social relations and conversation.
  • Listening enhances learning.

How to become an active listener:

  • Pay attention. Give the speaker your undivided attention, and acknowledge the message.
  • Show that you’re listening. Use your body language and gestures to convey your attention, like, nod occasionally.
  • Provide feedback. Ask questions or summarize the content.
  • Do not interrupt the speaker just for the sake of saying something.
  • Respond appropriately. Assert your opinions respectfully.

Reflection:

How long could you actively listen today? Did you feel that you already knew what you were listening to?

.

.

Do you still think you listened?

“Listening is caring!”

Task for self-encouragement (3 minutes read)

#Inspired

“Anti-challenges” to boost self-esteem

Start writing all such tasks in a separate notebook.

  1. Wake up 10 minutes before your usual time. Write ‘I am capable enough to do anything I want!’ for 20 times.
  2. If possible, go out for a short walk listening or rather singing a really inspiring song you have ever heard. It doesn’t matter how much of the song you remember.
  3. Spend your day working, whatever you do.
  4. Next morning, wake up 20 minutes before your usual waking up time. Go close to the window/door/balcony. Try and listen to each and every sound for 10 minutes, thinking, ‘I am happy to be alive’. Repeat the sentence consciously 20 times.
  5. Spend your day working.
  6. On the same evening, go for a sunset watch. If not possible, try to look at the starry night or just towards the sky. Give it 10 minutes time. Consciously, experience and appreciate its beauty.
  7. The same night, cook a dish or the whole dinner. It can be cooking with fire or without it.
  8. Now, if you stay with family, friends or a room-mate, invite them at the table. If you serve them something on the plate, it will be one of its kind experiences (for those who have never done it before or have done it rarely).

This was a schedule for one day. You can choose to repeat it until the weekend arrives.

Make a change the next day.

  1. Wake up at 5.30 am. Prepare or get a breakfast.
  2. Go out for a walk. Watch keenly around. Avoid music this morning.
  3. If you can, try to talk to at least 5 unknown people about current situations for at least 3 minutes with each. But, keep the conversations light. Remember to smile while you talk.
  4. Be friendly.
  5. Try to see if the same people meet you again during your next walk.
  6. Spend the afternoon reading something that you had planned to read but were not able to do it for various reasons. At least begin it this day.
  7. Do not spend the evening alone if you stay alone. Go out for eating. Or call someone over. If that too is not possible, and you have to cook, do the cooking in a different way today. Seek some different recipe you have never had.
  8. At some point of your day, do try to help someone.

Within a week, you will notice that:

  • You know more people.
  • You have learnt new ways of cooking.
  • You would have helped many during this new routine

⏲️

  • Repeat the weekly course the entire month.
  • Bring new changes.
  • Think about your progress, and note down all your feelings and these steps
  • Appreciate yourself. This is innovative.

Be happy. Smile. 🙂

“One smile brings thousand smiles.”

Only Perceptions

✍️

Forgive the mistakes of others,

For we are brothers.

💐

If you ditch the concept of errors,

There’ll be no thought of forgiving your brothers!

*************

A mistake is a mistake

When you consider it a mistake.

If you consider the mistake as different perception,

You will learn to respect different opinions.

The past brought you gifts.

👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

I don’t think it’s wrong to look back at the past.

The past was your teacher,

It brought you here.

You are standing on your two feet,

You are no more an ape.

You are communicating,

You no longer rely on only sign language.

You are thinking something,

You are able to imagine a future.

👏

Your past brought you a present,

In the form of present time.

Be thankful to the past.

You are living freely.

The past forced you to dream for the better.

The past made you work,

For the present.

🌈

The present time is really a present, a gift.

How do you feel on getting a gift?

Happy? No?

Yes, even if you do not acknowledge…

🌟

A gift does make anyone happy.

🎁

Past passed purposefully.

You have made a lot out of your past.

Otherwise, your present would not have been this.

🙂

Look around, just look around.

Come on! Literally, look around.

Haven’t things changed?

If not 100% for you,

But there’s a tangible change.

🙋

A lot of good things happened—

That which you really needed, happened.

Now, responsibly, make this present so good,

That it becomes the successful past!

Healthy Heart (short read)

Everyone would benefit by maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle.

*****************************************

Hi,

I had written this article as a part of my work around 5 years back. Sharing on my blog today…

***********************************************

The World Heart Federation organizes World Heart Day every year on September 29 to make people aware about heart diseases. It informs people that heart disease and stroke are the world’s leading causes of death, claiming 17.3 million lives each year. The organization promotes measures to prevent such diseases. It was first observed in the year 2000.

What is a heart disease?

Any type of disorder that affects the structure and functions of the heart is a heart disease. It refers to only heart. It also means cardiac disease but not cardiovascular disease. A cardiovascular disease refers to the disorders of blood vessels and heart.

Causes, Types and Risk factors: It has many root causes and is of various types as,

  • Coronary artery disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Arrhythmia
  • Peripheral artery disease, etc.

Coronary artery disease occurs when plaque develops in the arteries and blood vessels that lead to the heart. This leads to blocking of nutrients and oxygen that have to reach your heart. Plaque is a wax-like substance made up of cholesterol, minerals and fatty molecules. Plaque accumulates over a period of time when the inner lining of an artery is damaged by high blood pressure, smoking cigarettes, or increased level of cholesterol or triglycerides.

Events: Various government and non-government organizations in all parts of the world organize the World Heart Day. In more than 100 countries the World Heart Federation organizes events like,

  • Health Checks
  • Sporting events like marathons, sprints etc.
  • Awareness rally with posters and placards
  • Stage shows and concerts
  • Exhibitions
  • Signature campaigns

World Health Organization (WHO), which is United Nation’s directing and coordinating authority for health, partners with such organizations to hold the activities.
