Taking Responsibility-Easy Ways

1. Excuse ⛔ No Use: Be sincere. Making up excuses for your actions wouldn’t help you in the long run.

2. Blame-game⛔ No gain: After your bad choice, remember, you took the final decicision. Blaming others makes you nasty.

3. Apologise⛔ Be wise: Those who get impacted due to your mistakes deserve an apology from you!

4. Mend it right ⛔ Be bright: Just do whatever is needed; bring transformations and heal it all.

5. Think in sequel ⛔ Be careful: Some bad results come in sequence, that is, consequences. Think at every step.

6. Be proactive ⛔ Be innovative: Sitting and staring signals that you are helpless. Create something and tell others. This enhances leadership quality too.

Why Fun-ducation?

Do you believe in fun?

I am sure most of us do. In the time when comedy is given so much importance, entertainment is significant and people are willing to pay for them, fun is also sought in education.

The class that laughs and learns together, stays together.

Do you remember the days when we used to laugh and giggle at the silly comments and activities while being in class and that too in front of our teachers?

One comment from a fellow student, the whole class would get the chance to show their teeth.

Most of us have experienced serious tones in classrooms while studying. Principal on a stroll around the school meant #Attention #allalert.

Gone are those days of ‘Pin-drop-silence’. And I know with experience, no one wants his/her child’s class to be boring and tiresome. These days children also get intimidated easily in a very serious, quiet class.

We wish to choose those schools wherein skills and activities are integrated in the education curriculum.

When the child returns home we wish to see happiness on his or her face and not the tiredness.

That is the reason, we look for fun + education = fun-ducation.

Fun and happiness is the innate nature of all humans. Nurture it and have fun while studying and while teaching.

But from learning and experience, I can give two tips that are rarely passed on:

1. Stop watching television.

❗ Idiot box will always remain an idiot.

2. Stop watching irrelevant movies.

❗ People keep televisions switched and it plays on for hours and hours. Watch when it is a real need.

❗The focus is on smart phone and movies and other programmes 😂 appear one after another.

▶️ Irrelevant viewing or even television addiction will bug your thought process. Get rid of this habit.

📖 Choose some good books to read. The books will help you develop your imagination and enhance creativity. Books will thus make you intuitive too!

🧒🧏 When I purposely started calling television as idiot box (old analogy), my primary grade students used to wonder what I am trying to tell them; some would giggle too! And then gradually, as I would elaborate, they started coming to terms with it.

▶️ This worked and many complaints by parents started reducing. They were at relief. Each PTM had this television-fever story which was seriously treated as I too had observed the symptoms in the classrooms!

Imagination and creativity as a skill have been greatly emphasised by spiritual teachers all over the world. One of its proponents was Osho.

When I was in Grade 10, one day our class teacher Sr. Jaya played his audio on the same topic and thereafter we were after these skills!

Awesome Imagination

My imagination works so wild sometimes that I want to do anything that is not possible within human capabilities.

∆ Creating a vision board for what you really desire is one of the practices that has been encouraged since the past century. With clarity, it is really easy to control the absurd imaginations.

∆ It is your imagination itself that takes shape while you create something at work or while you make your house into a home.

∆ Haven’t you too experienced going in the future and building something or going in the past and mending something?

∆ If this imagination is carefully constructed, achieving a dream or a daily target becomes quite easy.

∆ I developed focus on improving my imagining power in the past year.

∆ I don’t know where my imagination will take me in future; the tangible role my thoughts are creating now are in alignment, my dreams are taking shape, I know, I just need to be patient and BELIEVE.

The Skill of Relationship Building

I had written this particular article one year ago as a part of my work. It is an inspired work, with my inputs.

Some tips to improve in your life:

  1. Accept and celebrate differences. We are all different. We understand the world in many ways. Certainly, we expect a lot of things from people around us. We feel more comfortable when people understand and listen to us. It would be boring if we were all the same. So accepting and celebrating that we are all different is a great starting point.
  2. Develop empathy. Here is a famous saying: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Empathy means putting yourself in another person’s shoes and understanding the situation. It helps to improve your behavior with that person and even with others. For example, how would feel when you would be sent to another school next week and that too in a different city? Of course, you would want people there to be friendly and accepting.

Empathy also means “reading” another person’s real condition and doing something that will help the other person and offer support and develop mutual trust.

Every relationship teaches us something. By building positive relationships with others, we will be happier, satisfied, and feel more supported, supportive, and connected.

  1. Develop your communication skills. Communication takes place when someone understands you, not just when you speak to others. It is not important that whatever you speak is understood by all. Poor communication of your ideas and feelings can show you as a different person in front of others. This can lead to stress and trouble. So, speak in manner that everybody understands.
  2. Learn to give and take feedback. Feedback means a response or a reaction that one receives in return for the product, task or a presentation which leads one to improvement.

Feedback always adds to your progress. It may not always sound good. Providing constructive feedback to others helps them polish their skills and abilities. It is good for improving relationships. It is a free information and you can choose whether you want to take it or not. It can change you to better.

  1. Reasons to have good relationships. Human beings are naturally social creatures – we look for friendship and positive talks. It is similar to the need for food and water. So, it means the better our relationships are at your place of work or a class, the happier and more active we would be.

Good relationships have following benefits:

  • We enjoy our work with people we have good relationships with. People are ready to accept the changes we want to bring; they are ready to learn from us; they are with us when we need them.
  • We spend time and energy to solve problems associated. But, with negative relationships, we cannot think of all such things.
  • Good relationships help us to improve. We trust others and they start to trust us.

What’s In A Name? (Short Read)

Your work is bigger than your name.

I never got impressed by any company’s or institution’s name and stature after that of my own school where I studied. I grew up there.

Now having an experience with some big names, I feel that it is better to not get excited by the name. Only its work matters. Name is the brand which gets identified by good work. But it is not the case with every institution or company. Many of you would agree after witnessing the drastic change in the world that big names really don’t matter.

🔽

A small institution may not have advertised itself so much, but it may still be doing excellent job and doing everything for its whole staff. Being compassionate and considerate, being fair and responsible are some of those things.

🔽

Name building, brand building is important. It is the need of the time.People are doing everything possible to build the brand, marketing their company in every way possible- presenting their products and services.

🔽

So, what goes on behind it? Struggles, effort, focus, time, sweat and blood…of the employees who erect the pillars of the brand, who bring the label to the top, who make things possible.

🔽

But why are employees compelled to write their sad stories? Why were they not taken care of? Why were they laid of all of a sudden? There are many questions and will keep surfacing time and again.

🔽

Yes, it is not possible to make every one extremely happy, it is not possible to fulfill everyone’s demands but HAPPY FAMILIES do exist. Isn’t it?

Then, why can’t happy companies and happy institutions exist?

What’s going wrong…who will see to it?

Look around you, what are the things or the people who you do not accept, who you do not want to talk to, who you do not want to make relation with.

How to forget the loss?
